Odisea is a private oceanfront family estate in Playa Junquillal, on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, born from a shared vision of art, architecture, nature, and family.
Created by Valérie Rey, artist and decorator, and Patrick Rey, architect and designer, Odisea brings together two distinctive private villas, each expressing a different side of the same creative vision.
More than a place to stay, Odisea reflects a way of life — one shaped by the ocean, inspired by nature, and deeply connected to the beauty of Costa Rica.
Our vision
A PLACE CREATED TO LIVE
From the beginning, the villas were imagined as true homes rather than conventional vacation rentals.
Designed to open naturally toward the Pacific, their architecture and interiors play with light, natural materials, textures and space. Every room has been thoughtfully created to establish a dialogue between the house, the tropical landscape and the ocean beyond.
Here, the distinction between inside and outside almost disappears.
The result is a sense of openness, freedom and calm — a place where the rhythm of the ocean becomes part of everyday life.
A FAMILY HOME, SHARED WITH GUESTS
Odisea remains personally owned and managed by the Rey family, who have made Costa Rica their home since 1999.
For us, hospitality is personal.
We know the property, the surrounding coastline and the people who make this part of Costa Rica special. We are here to offer privacy and independence when you want it, while being available whenever you need us.
Our aim is simple: to make every stay feel effortless, authentic and uniquely yours.
